Ball Valve Model

Goals

  • Individually model each component, applying distinct colors to maintain organization and clearly differentiate moving elements.
  • Build a fully constrained assembly with accurate mates to control motion only where required for proper ball-valve function.
  • Generate section views, exploded configurations, and motion animations to showcase internal geometry, assembly order, and handle actuation.

Propeller Model

Goals

  • Build a fully constrained assembly with properly meshed gears and appropriate mates to ensure synchronized rotation, accurate gear-ratio behavior, and smooth motion without tooth skipping.
  • Generate clear views and motion animations to demonstrate internal gear operation, assembly order, and the final propeller actuation.

 Rhinoceros 3D Modeling

Gwathmey Residence Model

Goals

  • Develop a 3D model recreation of famous architectural building (The Gwathmey Residence Studio)
  • Incorporate architectural techniques and patterns to build neat model as efficiently as possible. 
  • Explore other patterns and methods of modeling to display 3D model in easily comprehendible ways.

Results

  • Developed a 3D model of the Gwathmey Residence Studio.
  • Explored different views such as perspective, isometric, and x-ray along with different patterns and styles such as Shaded (Black and White & Color), Rendered, and Ghosted.
  • Integrated automated patterns for spiral stair case as well as slanted roof top for most efficient modeling process.
  • Redefined Model by integrating model into a topographic landscape made to show further use of modeling software and manipulation of automated patterns and features.

Sunshade Model

Goals

  • Develop a 3D model for a sunshade using a 6 step rule set.
  • Render model to display real life sun effects on modeled sunshade.
  • Explore different techniques to depict sunshade to possible clients.
